The “Large Basket” is the smallest nikāya of the Sutta Piṭaka, containing 34 of the longer teachings and myths from the early sangha. Its collection focuses largely on contrasting Buddhism with Brahmanism and is roughly parallel to the Dīrgha Āgama preserved in China.
